Christmas is coming

X-Factor and Strictly are on telly again, and that can only mean one thing. No, not that I really need to get out more - but that Christmas is coming!

Normally, when somebody mentions Christmas any time before the end of November, I wince a little bit. But not this year - something’s happened. This year, I’m embracing Christmas like never before. I don’t mind telling you I even sneaked a sideways glance at the mince pies and Christmas puddings last time I went shopping. They're essential hippo diet don't you know?

Why this festive enthusiasm? Well, I blame it all on Inspire Me.

We’ve just launched our new range of Inspire Me coordinating card, paper and card blanks on Handy Hippo, and I know it isn't meant for hippos, but I can’t stop looking at it all! One glance and my eyes light up like a child staring in the window of a toy shop. Seriously - I’m getting nothing done. I gaze at Holly Green card, mentally pairing it up with Strawberry Red paper, and that’s before I even look at the Christmas embellishments.

I like to think I’m a rational hippo most of the time, but I’ve been turned into a lovestruck Christmas-embracing fool by some colourful cardstock. I just hope New Year comes soon so I can get some work done...

Handy Hippo loves cardmaking (even though it's tricky when you don't have fingers and thumbs). He makes sure his craft shop is bursting with all the latest goodies for a really reasonable price.
