Kaisercraft's Up Up and Away collection is so inspiring...

Kirstie Sleight, Editor

Handmade card Kaisercraft Up Up and Away collection

Hello! It's the International Balloon Fiesta here in Bristol this weekend and I opened my curtains this morning (bright and early thanks to my 15-month-old son) to a sky filled with dozens of hot air balloons (or 'loons' as he calls them)... just beautiful.

So when I arrived at work and spotted Kaisercraft's hot air balloon inspired Up Up and Away paper stack and clear stamp set on our deputy production editor Alice's desk I couldn't resist having a play.

It's just a quick make but I hope you like it. I made it for one of my lovely sisters who visited us with her boys last weekend and brought my two rascals a helium balloon each, which made them very happy!

I hope you all have an inspiring weekend.

Happy cardmaking,

Kirstie

PS - One of our fab designers, Sharon Armstrong, has just posted a brilliant colouring tutorial video on her blog. Lots of great tips on colouring with Promarkers, as well as a peek at her cute new range of owl stamps. Check it out! xx

Bio

I love all things cardmaking and crafty and I've been making cards since I was very young. One of the  best things about being the Editor of Cardmaking & Papercraft is the chance to play with all of the gorgeous papers, stamps and goodies that come through our office. I also love working with our design team to create the beautiful gifts we give away with every issue of the magazine. As a mum with two young children, much of my crafting time is now spent making 'gluey pictures', painting egg boxes and generally getting good and messy. No change there then!
