The sun has got his hat on!

Sarah Bostock, Editor

Although outdoor crafting can pose a variety of issues, I still think there's nothing quite as nice as sitting outside on a sunny day, making cards.

All that's needed is a little planning to make sure your alfresco crafting session is a success. Before you head outside, decide on the kind of card you're going to make - the simpler the better - and then take just the tools and products needed to make this card with you. It's usually best to avoid any glitter or embossing powder, in case of any rogue gusts of wind! If in doubt, why not stamp a selection of images inside, then head out with your pens or pencils and enjoy an afternoon of colouring in the sun? Perfect!

Bio

As the Editor of Quick Cards, I think I have the best job in the world! I love to spend my days pouring over the gorgeous new card making products that get sent into the office, then sharing my favourites with you. I work with some of the UK's best crafty designers to bring you beautiful and inspirational card projects each issue, that cater for every level of crafter. I have always been a creative person and love trying out new crafts - from card making (of course!) and scrapbooking, to glass painting and clay modelling, I really have tried it all, with varying levels of success..! My favourite part of the job is hearing from our readers, what you've been making, what you're loving in the craft world and what is making you smile at the moment. So please, keep in touch and let me know what you think of Quick Cards.
