How To…Make the Card

1) Cut a piece of blue card that is slightly smaller than your 8x8 card base and cut your chosen patterned paper slightly smaller than that. Ink the edges of both and attach the paper onto the card.

2) Attach a strip of adhesive crochet border and fabric tape vertically on top of the paper, approximately 50mm from the right. Glue to the front of the card base and ink the edges.

3) Cut a 160x100mm piece of blue card and punch a lace border along one of the longer edges. Cut a 100x82mm piece of patterned paper, ink the edges and attach to the card. Glue on top of the crochet and fabric strips with the punched border to the right. Glue a circular lace paper towards the top left of the card.

4) Die-cut a parenthesis in patterned paper, ink the edges and layer onto blue card. Cut a semi-circle out of the top of the parenthesis and attach a strip of adhesive crochet border along the top. Bend slightly and glue towards the bottom of the lace paper so that it forms a vase.

5) Die-cut a selection of large and small flowers and leaves from patterned paper, ink the edges and shape. Cut three 80mm lengths of bamboo skewer and glue the flowers and leaves to the them so there is one large flower and two small ones. Add buttons to the centres, arrange in the vase and glue into place, as shown.

6) Stamp the sentiment in brown onto five strips of patterned paper, ink the edges and layer onto strips of blue card, trimming a fishtail shape at the end of each strip, as shown. Shape the strips and glue in place around the edge of the lace paper. Bend a leaf over the top of the vase and add pearls, to finish.
