Hi folks!

We’ve now moved the forum across to the main website. We hope you like it - it's a lot easier to use and is 'linked up' with our website, so if you're logged into the website you'll be able to come straight to the new forum by clicking 'craft forum'.

You can now post photos, as well as enjoy faster running speeds and a fresh look.

In case there are any questions. we've compiled a troubleshooter below. If anyone has problems logging in or can't access it, then we'll try and help as much as we can.

Q: Why is there a new cardmaking forum?
A: The old forum is on an older platform which presents a number of problems due to its age. The new platform allows us multiple benefits:

- the forum will be faster to load, and more reliable
- the new platform is much more secure
- a lot of "standard" forum features which were missing from the old forum are now available
- integration with the Cardmaking & Papercraft website
- more possibilities for future upgrades, features and improvements

Q: Can I still access the old forum?
A: You can find the old forum here

Q: Will the old forum be deleted?
A: We have no immediate plans to remove the old forum.

Q: Can I continue posting on the old forum?
A: Of course! However, moving over to the new forum will give you access to all the new features, the ability to upload photos and integration with the website.

Q: Why did I have to re-register?
A: Part of the new forum and website is a combined login, which will allow you to post comments, enter competitions and vote in polls on the website, and be able to post on the forums all through one account.

Q: I'm concerned about giving you my details when re-registering...
A: When you register, you are able to choose how we contact you in regards to promotions and offers (if at all!). The registration page also provides a link to our Privacy Policy.

My only problem so far is that my old forum ID and password don't work so I have had to make a new ID. I would rather use my old one! If we can now post photos again I will be happy with this new look site.

Ditto on the password, though my ID seems fine. Apparently, I'm the newest member! Does that mean all of our pics, messages, avatar, etc are 'stuck' on the old forum?

That said, new forum - very snazzy!

OK, I give up, I'll ask: how do I change that impossible-to-remember system generated password? Try as I might, can't see a place to change it. Help!

Hi all

Sorry for the short delay in getting back to you on forum issues - I've been out of the office for a couple of days.

With regards to log in problems, it may be due to some users who registered on the website before the migration and will have two accounts on the forum. If you think this may be the case with you, please drop us an email.

Also, I understand there are some problems with posting images - we are currently writing up some instructions on how to upload these so should be able to sort this very soon.

There are also older posts turning up - I can delete these as they appear (this is from the migration).

Just thought I'd pop on and see what the forum was like now that it's changed.

It is very odd - on my laptop I am logged into the new forum but on my main pc I cannot log in it says invalid password or user id!

The larger type is easier to read and my new password is much easier to temember - thanks for sorting that out Alice - but when I went into the Birthday List and RAK section I found loads of old posts but no reply button for those nor anyway to start a new post - I wanted to start a November SAS Thanks, but had to put that in General Chit Chat.
