Recycling

Dad and me were having a clear out of our office and we found some boxes of transparent film and since Dad was going to through it away I decided to take it as I thought I could use it in card making, but I'm not quite sure what I can do with it? The only thing I know I can use it for is to keep clear rubber stamps on, but there must be other things I can recycle it for? has anyone got any ideas? Thanks very much.

You said office so I am thinking it might be acetate used with an overhead projector. I had some left from teaching days and have used it in cards just like acetate. You can stick peeloffs on and then colour them in from the back to get a stained window effect. I use permanent markers now but at first I used left over OHP pens. You can also use it in an aperture card over a picture to give added dimension. (You stick the transparent film behind the aperture and the picture behind that.) I found it too thin to make an acetate cover for a card - for that you do need the heavier crafting quality. Hope this helps some.

you could try making shaker cards with it and using foam tape between 2 layers. In the past I have traced a picture using glass paint and coloured it in and made a different type of topper with it. I have tried stamping on it and then embossing but it didn't work out too good, but you could try, you might be better at it than me
