I made this card for a friend. For the background I used distress inks, and then stamped the Penny Black flower on top, finally finishing off with the little punched butterfly. I would love to know what you think.

I like it although I think I would have preferred a lighter coloured butterfly.

Thank you both. Funnily enough BB, I tried a lighter butterfly but it looked awful (to my eyes anyway) which is why I went with one matching the background mat and added the gems to lighten it slightly!

Now you mention matching the background mat I have peered very closely and realise the mat is dark purple - at first glance I thought it was black. Now I see why you went for the darker butterfly.
