Use waxed paper

or

Take some baking parchment and scribble all over it thoroughly with a candle to make sure it's well coated in wax.

Scrumple the paper up

Place your card onto a piece of old paper or magazine

Open up your waxed paper and put it WAX SIDE DOWN onto your card

Cover with another piece of clean paper and go over it with your iron (I have mine quite hot but be careful not to burn the paper - keep it on the move).

The wax will melt into your card and create a resist pattern.

Now wipe over your card with your ink pad and see the result.

Ooops, forgot to say, wipe off the excess ink with a piece if kitchen roll.

Try scrunching it up tightly and then loosely to see the different effects.

You can use the same parchment (or waxed paper) several times but you need to rewax in between applications.

DON'T FORGET TO TURN OFF YOUR IRON WHEN YOU'VE FINISHED.
