CARDMAKING & PAPERCRAFT TEAM

Kirstie Sleight - Editor
Hello, I'm Kirstie and the best part of my job is choosing which fantastic projects to feature in the magazine each month. It's so exciting discussing ideas with each designer then waiting for the finished cards to land on my desk. I love seeing our ideas come into being, as much as I love seeing your ideas, so do keep sending in your cards and photos. When I'm not working I spend my time painting, taking photos and teaching my daughter to draw. At 15 months she's already very handy with a crayon - as our walls can attest!

Hi, I'm Lucy and I'm the Deputy Editor on Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine. Although I'm fairly new to cardmaking, I'm quickly becoming addicted! I've always been creative and love coming up with new features and ideas for the magazine. I also really enjoy reading your letters and seeing the fantastic cards you've made. I feel very lucky to be able to enjoy my job so much!

    Dulcie Jackson - Production Editor
I've always been interested in arts and crafts, ever since I was little, and I think papercrafts in particular are fantastic. But my route to working in crafts has been a long one ? I went to Bristol University to study French and Italian, including living in both countries, then I worked in radio writing adverts, before coming to Cardmaking & Papercraft. I also love jewellery making and oil painting ? there just aren't enough crafting hours in the day!

Hi, I'm the newest member of the team. I have always had an interest in crafts and over the years have tried my hand at cardmaking, quilling, glass painting & candle making to name a few. I studied graphic design at City of Bristol College which included learning about art & photography as well as design. In my spare time I love reading, drawing/sketching, crafts, making simple jewellery with beads, motor-sport, power kiting, walking, running, watching films, going to the Theatre, listening to music & trying new things ? I am currently learning to snowboard!

Michelle Van Halderen - Art Assistant
I was eleven when I was introduced to crafting ? papercraft, origami, clay, jewellery ? all kinds really! Every week we met at a neighbour's house on our street, and she taught us techniques and tips. Later I went to university to study graphic design, but my crafting memories have always stayed close to my heart. I love being creative, in any way ? I think I?ve found the best combination at Cardmaking & papercraft, and love my job!

I love trying out new things, and when Karen Kerr's latest project arrived in the office, I couldn't wait to have a go and try it out myself!
